Acclaimed novelist Christopher Priest, Class of 1961, sadly passed away on 2 February 2024. His best known work The Prestige (1995) was adapted into a screenplay by Christopher Nolan (2006) starring Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale. After leaving CHS he first worked as an accountancy clerk before moving into the world of writing, with his work never quite fitting into one genre.
