Feel the roar before the British & Irish Lions set off for Australia!

On Friday 27 June, we’re turning Manchester Rugby Club into CHS’s own Lions HQ for A Night with the Lions - a relaxed evening of good food, great stories, and fundraising for two causes close to home. We're thrilled to be joined by former International Rugby player Nathan Hines, and other special guests.

Expect a clubhouse-style supper, stories from CHS parents who’ve toured with the British & Irish Lions, and a DJ to round out the night. All for £25 per person (or bring a group and book a full table of ten).

What’s included:

• Welcome drink
• Curry dinner (vegetarian option available)
• An hour or so of Q&A and stories
• DJ set through to 11:30 pm

This evening supports two goals:

• 1st XV Rugby Fund – allowing us to invest in specialist coaching and enhance our activities for the 2025/26 season.
• 1 in 6 Bursary Campaign – our goal to grow bursary places from 1 in 11 pupils to 1 in 6 by 2030. Read more about the campaign here.

Proceeds from donations made will be split 50:50 between these two causes. We’re aiming to raise £20k in one night. It’s ambitious, but with your help, it’s within reach.

Here’s how you can get involved:

• Book your tickets now* – spaces are limited to 150.
• Donate an auction item – from a weekend stay to match tickets or a coaching session. Email er@cshchool.co.uk by 13 June.
• Be ready to give – every table will have pledge cards and QR codes for easy donations (Gift Aid adds 25%)
