Our School community was deeply affected by the loss of two remarkable individuals last December - Kate and Archie Vokes.
To honour their memory, we are proud to announce the creation of the Kate and Archie Bursary. These Sixth Form bursaries will enable deserving students, who otherwise would not have access to a CHS education, to thrive in our School community.
“The passing of Kate and Archie Vokes came as a huge shock to all of us. The outpouring of grief in the days and months that have followed has shown how many people's lives they touched as we came together in collective sadness. Their passing has left a big gap in my life. As a close friend of both, I would like to see them honoured in some way.”
Archie Tittle, Class of 2020
The Kate and Archie Bursary will be awarded either to a talented athlete who has the potential to excel both in sports and academics, inspired by Archie’s own journey at our School, or a student who embodies our School’s core values of compassion, curiosity, and joy, much like Kate, who was known for her kindness, generosity, and dedication to helping others.
These bursaries will have a transformative impact, providing the recipients with the opportunity to thrive within our community and carry forward the legacy of Kate and Archie. We believe this initiative is a powerful way to celebrate the lives of two extraordinary individuals who gave so much to CHS.
