School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programmes are aimed at new graduates and career changers and enable a new generation of teachers to benefit from highly practical, school-based training. It is an employed route to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and runs in conjunction with state school partners; it is assessed and verified, as the awarding body, by a University.
