'Heads and Tales' is the story of Cheadle Hulme School, retold to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the School's foundation.

Containing over 400 illustrations, it follows the School's journey from its origins as a Victorian Boarding school for the orphaned sons and daughters of the warehousemen and clerks of Manchester. It records its role in the last century as an important Direct Grant School, arriving at its position today as one of the leading independent schools in the North West.

The book, however, is not just the story of the Heads as they met the challenges of an ever changing world. It also recounts the tales and stories of school life from the students' perspective, depicting school life through the eyes of the children - illustrating how the experiences of the schoolchild have changed over a century and a half.

All proceeds from the sale of this book will support the CHS Bursary Fund.
