Robert Powell Class of 1980

Over a career spanning more than three decades with the IMF, he has played a significant role in shaping global economic policy, including helping develop international debt-relief initiatives supporting lower-income countries.

As part of his celebration speech, he provides some insight for the class of 2026.

“'Embrace the moments when things don't quite go to plan. If you win all the races that you enter, frankly, you're not entering the right races, probably. So, don't overstress over things that don't quite go to plan quite as you hoped.”

Old Waconian Early Career Award - Recognises exceptional accomplishment early in the nominee's post school career

Jamie Grace Class of 2012

He remains closely connected to CHS and continues to embody the values of service, leadership and commitment.

“It is a real honour to be recognised by the CHS alumni community. The experiences and values I developed at school played an important role in shaping my path, and it is very meaningful to be acknowledged by a community that has remained such a strong influence. I am grateful to stay connected to the Old Waconian network and all that it represents”.

Old Waconian Contribution Award - Recognises an individual’s service and contribution to CHS.

Danielle Thompson Class of 1996
