CLASS OF 2026

Students from the Class of 2026, are celebrating today after receiving an exceptional set of A Level and BTEC results, reflecting their talent, hard work and the wide range of opportunities they have embraced during their time at CHS.

These results open the door for our students to take up their first-choice destinations at universities, on highly competitive degree apprenticeships or to study overseas.

This year 80% of grades were awarded at A*- B, with nearly 50% at A* – A, reflecting the hard work and commitment of our students throughout their time in Sixth Form. Sport BTEC results were equally impressive, with all but one grade awarded at Distinction level.

Lee Richardson, Head:

“Results Day is an important moment but what makes me particularly proud is the personal qualities and endeavour of the young people behind these results. The Class of 2026 have worked incredibly hard, but they have also contributed enormously to the life of our school and the wider community. Today is about celebrating everything they have achieved and I am looking forward to what they will do next”.

The Class of 2026 have combined their studies with a huge range of activities beyond the classroom, contributing to sport, music, drama and voluntary work throughout their time at CHS. Their next steps reflect an equally broad range of interests and ambitions, from Degree Apprenticeships and sporting opportunities in the U.S. to courses in the creative arts, fashion and musical theatre, alongside Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.

Nick Axon, Deputy Head – Academic:

“I am so proud of this year group who, alongside their A Level and BTECs, challenged themselves further through additional qualifications such as the EPQ and Arts Award which enabled them to develop future skills beyond their main subjects. The excellent results achieved this year are testament to the commitment they have shown throughout their time in Sixth Form”
