On Sunday 19th July, Cheadle Hulme School was at the first ever Vitality Stockport 10k supporting our local community. The event brought together thousands of runners of all abilities to celebrate health, wellbeing, and community, while showcasing the very best of the borough. Runners started at iconic Edgeley Park, headed out along the closed-road course with the stadium at their shoulders, and finished with a memorable lap of the historic pitch.

CHS sponsored the 6k marker, a fitting milestone for the school as we continue our ambitious 1 in 6 Campaign, which aims to increase the number of students who benefit from a life-changing bursary education. Throughout the morning, the CHS team was on hand to cheer on participants as they reached the halfway point of the course. Full of Waconian pride, our stand was a fantastic meeting point to chat with so many Old Waconians tackling the course.

As a school with deep roots in the area, CHS was delighted to play its part in supporting an event that encourages people of all ages to come together, challenge themselves, and celebrate everything that makes Stockport such a special place to live and work.

"We're incredibly proud to be supporting the first Stockport 10k. As a school, we believe in the importance of being an active and positive part of our local community, and this event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate everything that's great about Stockport.

"Sponsoring the 6k marker felt especially meaningful as it reflects our own 1 in 6 Campaign, which is helping to create life-changing opportunities through bursaries for talented young people. It was wonderful to see so many members of the CHS community getting involved."
