James Moore (Class of 2025), enters the CBBC spotlight, competing in Britain’s Best Young Artist. Taking his passion to the screen, he tackles a variety of creative briefs over the course of the series, challenging him to think, reflect, and ideate under pressure. Through his hard work and brilliant creativity, he fought off tough competition to secure a fantastic spot in the grand finale.
Congratulations to James for an amazing achievement. Here are some photos of his work from the show:
Britain’s Best Young Artist is a tournament-style competition featuring 27 talented contenders. In each episode, three young artists go head-to-head in specific art disciplines. Only the top artists make it through to the semi-finals, before the final three compete for the ultimate title in the grand finale. Speaking with James, he told us:
"Being on TV was a surreal experience and unlike no other, I thoroughly enjoyed being on the show, especially because art is something that I am passionate about and enjoy. I would encourage anyone who has any interest in art to apply as you never know, you might be Britain’s best young artist?"
Since his time on the show, James has been working on his latest pieces, which were recently showcased at his university degree show. You can see more of his work on Instagram @jamesmoore_art.
From recently graduating to showcasing his passion on national television, James has made a phenomenal start to his dream career as an artist. His success perfectly highlights the creative futures CHS students go on to pursue, and the ambition nurtured during their time here.
Congratulations again to James! The CHS community is incredibly proud of you and your achievement, and we look forward to seeing what else you create in the future
