Say hello to our newest Old Wacs!

CHS's Class of 2025 are now officially Old Waconians!

On Friday, we welcomed the Class of 2025 as the newest members of the Old Waconian Community.

Parents, staff, and friends gathered with pride as Upper Sixth students took to the stage to receive their well-deserved certificates and awards. The ceremony was filled with highlights, including the presentation of special prizes to students who demonstrated exceptional dedication and talent in their subjects and co-curricular clubs.

Head pupils Sol, Kate and Charlie spoke movingly to their classmates, reflecting on their cherished time at CHS. They extended heartfelt thanks to the entire community for the unwavering support they’ve received throughout their journey as Waconians.

“Whilst the prospect of the next chapter and what lies ahead is very exciting, the greatest compliment I can give to you all is that there is a part of me that simply doesn’t want to move on from this incredible group of people and this amazing place.”

CHS Head, Mr Lee Richardson said: “I know that there will be many students here in the audience tonight for whom CHS is like home, and now it's time to leave home and spread your wings.”

“Some of you will feel ready to leave, whilst others will be nervous, but I know whichever category you are in, you are going to go out and do fantastic things that we are going to be proud of.”

Following the formal ceremony, the atmosphere shifted to one of pure celebration as the graduating class, along with their families and friends, moved outside for an unforgettable on-site celebration. Pentagon Yard buzzed with energy as students enjoyed lawn games, indulged in delicious food and drinks, including freshly made woodfired pizza, and danced to the lively tunes of the fantastic RNCM student band.
