Following the success of last year’s inaugural Iftar hosted by our Equalities Society for our Sixth Form students, we are pleased to announce that we are expanding the event for 2026 and this year, we invite students from Year 7 through to Year 13, along with up to two family members, to join us for our Community Iftar Evening on Wednesday 4 March.
This event is a collaboration led by our M-Soc and Equalities Society student leaders who will lead a presentation on the traditions of Ramadan, followed by a community quiz. As the sun sets, there will be a prayer space set up for those who wish to use it and afterwards attendees will gather to break fast and share a meal together.
In the spirit of sharing and generosity, this will be a "Bring Your Own" food event. We encourage all families to bring a dish/dishes to share with the group.
Important Note on Food Safety: To ensure the safety of all our guests, please ensure that all dishes are clearly labelled with a full list of ingredients, particularly noting common allergens (nuts, dairy, gluten, etc.).
The event will be open for guests from 5pm, start at 5.15pm and finish by 7pm. Due to the capacity of the Dining Hall, places are strictly limited to 100 guests on a first-come, first-served basis and each student is welcome to bring up to two family members. Car parking is available for this event with all of our car parks available for parking.
If you have any questions about this event please contact External Relations on er@chschool.co.uk or 0161 488 3341.
