What is the masterclass?

This is a OneCHS Masterclass with a difference. We’ve teamed up with the Design School Make it in Design to offer a discount to members of the CHS Community for one of their very popular masterclasses: Surface Pattern Design and Cushion Making

This brilliant, fun and practical course for makers and interior-enthusiasts, is taught by surface pattern designer Rachael Taylor and celebrity upholsterer Simion Hawtin-Smith (as seen on BBC’s hit show Money For Nothing). The course is aimed at all skill levels and can be taken by complete beginners with easy to follow tutorials. When you sign up to a course through their website you will be given access until 31st December 2021.

What can you expect?

• Everything you need to make cushions featuring your designs!
• Technical training on designing for fabric (repeats & placement prints)
• In-depth step-by-step videos for turning your fabric into gorgeous cushions
• Expert upholstery tips and tricks to help you sew like a pro
• Downloadable cushion templates to make your life easy!

Please note that the first part of the course (the pattern designing) is computer based and requires Adobe software. If this isn't for you don't worry as you can easily join in with the second part, and learn how to make a cushion using fabric you have bought or a remnant of material.

How much is it?

Usually this masterclass is £106.80 (including VAT). With the discount code you will receive a 50% discount making the course £53.40. You must use the discount code to purchase the class by Sunday 22nd November 2020. This will then give you access until 31 December 2021.

How do I receive the code?

We are asking members of the CHS Community who would like to benefit from this discount to make a donation of £5 to FareShare using the button above. Once you have made your donation the discount code will appear on this page.

How do I use the code?

Visit the course page on the Make it in Design website by clicking on the image below and add the course to your shopping cart. In your cart you can then apply the promo code. You must use this discount code by Sunday 22nd November 2020.
