At the start of March 150 pupils individually performed to musicians from the Hallé Orchestra for the heats of this year's CHS Senior Music Festival.

Only 17 pupils were selected to go through to the final which will take place tomorrow evening (Wednesday) at 5pm.

The final will be adjudicated by the BBC Young Musician of the Year finalist, saxophone player and BBC Radio 3 Presenter, Jess Gillam.
