Many Old Waconians will remember being taught history by Mrs Freer, a wonderful and inspiring teacher. But how many of them know that, along with husband Allen, she was an art enthusiast?
Over their lifetime they put together a wonderful collection of art, furniture and books, that filled every wall and surface of their house. The collection is coming up for sale at Chiswick Auctions in London this Thursday (25th February 2021) with the funds raised being used to help fund their care.
Take a look at the beautifully illustrated online catalogue with text by Allen and his daughters (Old Waconians Mary Freer and Catherine Davies) describing his collecting habits and passion for art.
